They don't point out nearly enough that this will be on the RICH folks.

The Dems need to make that clear--although they'll get no help from the MSM. All taxes are equal to them.

1. oooops
this was supposed to be in another thread about the media.

Oh well.

It's just a media talking point coming out that's been bugging me.

Nevermind.

2. They have created a fiscal mess with their nonsense.
Actually however most of the worst of their irresponsible tax cuts will simply expire all on their own. All the Democrats have to do is not agree to make them permanent.

3. they also are fond of not showing that
instead of paying for war, tax cuts, et. al today we are putting it all on our Imperial Bank of China VISA card to pay at a later date.
Dems have become the Pay-as-you-go Party.

4. hard decisions to make
Latest issue of AARP bulletin, November 2006, articles on bankrupcy law change, prescription plan D, etc., has the Federal Reserve Board June 30, 2006 figures on consumer debt of Americans. Now at $2.18 trillion dollars (was $1.5 in 2000) with a near zero savings rate, and average household credit card debt of $7,253.00.

The GOP blocked every attempt to control the outsourcing of jobs to foreign countries, and made little effort to make trade agreements more reasonable. With war spending alone around $2 billion per week, health care costs soaring, poverty rates rising, record bankruptcies and foreclosures, it is going to take some strong leadership to come up with plans to get this country fiscally solvent and safe.
