The best thing I like about the election outcome.
Since the Democrats having taken back control of the government I now can go to bed at night knowing there are now adults who are in charge of the government. I find I am not having to take sleeping pills just to get through the night. I now don't feel compelled when I wake up first thing in the morning, or anytime during the night if I didn't take enough of the aforementioned pills, to make sure that we haven't lobbed a nuke at somebody or that the country has now been placed under the command of a military\police state. I no longer feel the need to be tuned into the T.V or radio every time Jr. speaks just to make sure he is not going to do something really stupid and put all us at a risk to our well being or lives.

Hell, I'm even glad that dad and his boys are back in the game even though I might not agree with their political philosophy they are at least adults and I know this means that dad has told Jr. that play time is over.

Just saying

2. Don't get complacent ! We are not safe untill we get the Military Commisionact Trashed! & Patriot
Act also. We still have the possibility of an attack here, home grown but blame it on terrorist, that will make them go to martial law.

October 17, 2006,Will be remembered as the Enabling day of the 21st Century!
"The government will make use of these powers only insofar as they are essential for carrying out vitally necessary measures..."
~Adolf Hitler, March 23, 1933, before the German Parliament (Reichstag) as he urged them to pass his "Enabling Act"

3. Oh no, one can never not keep an eye on what their government
is up too. I'm just thinking that maybe in the not too distant future we may be able to go back to arguing as too weather or not we should be using nuclear power as a power source, or maybe even if the electoral college is a good idea. As opposed to speculating weather or not tomorrow when we wake up we will find that we now live in a fascist state.

4. For the first few years after 9/11, the first thing I checked on rising
was to see if anything was exploded or invaded. Which was silly, because my family knows enough to wake me when that happens.

6. Same here
Since 9-11 I get up at 4 or 5 AM, just to make sure the world is still turning.

However, since Tuesday it's like a big weight has been lifted. The world looks a heck of a lot brighter.

5. Me too
I think the bullshit will finally end now. No more unbelievable bills being approved by a Republican House and Senate that further take away our right.
