...did any run and lose in 2004?

1. At least four
McNerney (CA-11) lost to Pombo in 2004 by 20 points.
Donnelly (IN - 2) lost to Chocola in 2004 by a narrow margin.
Hill (IN-9) defeated Sodrel in 2002, lost to him narrowly in 2004 and won it back this year.
Murphy (PA-6) lost to Gerlach by a narrow margin in 2004.



Also, Nick Lampson previously served in COngress, but was defeate in 2004 running in a different district than he ran in this time.

6. From what I read Nancy Boyda ran a good campaign and this was
one of the late seats that got caught up in the wave. Here's a story about it:
