I have 2 questions about Gore which I couldn't find the answers to
Edited on Sun Nov-12-06 08:52 AM by Gloria
when I searched....

1) Did his campaign fundraising letters come from the Senate committee or the DNC??

2) Did anyone attend the Nov. 5 rally for Sestak in PA that Gore was at???? I read a story, but got no sense of the type of reaction. Was his attendance announced well in advance or was it more of a last minute "surprise"???

THANKS.....

You can PM me if you prefer....

1. I got emails written by Al Gore asking for donations
...to the DCCC and the DSCC (separate emails.)

I also got a postal letter asking for donations to Bob Casey, Jr, (who has since been elected to the US Senate in PA.)

I did donate to the DCCC and DSCC, but not to Bob Casey, Jr. I decided that since Casey is a conservative Democrat, it's the responsibility of conservative Democrats to donate to him.

2. Thanks....I'm trying to find out the extent of his activities....I didn't
know he was also doing letters for individual candidates.

I know Casey was at the Sestak rally, along with Cleland and others...

I'm dying to know if there's a blog somewhere on that rally....

3. Al Gore and Joe Sestak article
From
http://www.algore.org/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=273&topic=5499.msg37558

===================================================================
"I want you to send a message," Gore implored them. "We love this country. Because we love this country, we’re going to fix what’s wrong with this country and we’re going to send Bob Casey and Joe Sestak to Washington."

Of Sestak, Gore said there was "nobody that commanded more respect in the Clinton/Gore White House."

When assessing the situation to act in Bosnia, the vice president said the top executives relied on executive military personnel, such as Sestak.

"This is a guy who knows exactly the kind of plans that is needed to protect our troops," Gore said, adding that the result was "Not one life was lost."

6. Right, he asked us to make phone calls with MoveOn's
"Call for Change." (I was already doing so.)

5. Al Gore also did a GOTV rally
...at the University of Minnesota recently for US Senate candidate Amy Klobacher.

She won by 20 points.

8. I didn't know about this...very interesting considering the
big money pockets up in Minneapolis that he was seeing earlier in the year.

Then there was the X-Prize related symposium he flew into on the q-t here in Las Cruces that I posted about last night at KOS in response to another post about his "discreet" meetings in Seattle. Here in LC, there was no press coverage at all and he wasn't listed in the insert in the paper about the schedule of events. The symposium was a lot of the bigwigs with some from NMSU and reps of the tech people.....
