Political Compass - Where are you?
Take the quiz at the following site. It'll probably take about 10 minutes. It's interesting and worth it. http://www.politicalcompass.org/questionnaire

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -5.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.49

I'm near Gandhi and Nelson Mandela. Where are you?

2. I've taken this survey 2-3 times over the past 6 years.
I always end up so far down in the lower left corner that I'm nearly off the grid. ;-)

12. As do I
Economic Left/Right: -9.13
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -9.33

Would be closer to -10 if it were not for the phrasing of a few of the questions.

13. As usual:
Economic Left/Right: -8.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.85

southwest of Ghandi and Mandela, west of the Dalai Lama.

I believe there is a separate political compass for the U.S. that is slightly different than the UK version. Either one, my spot is pretty consistent, with only slight flutters each time, probably based on those ambivalent questions that don't really fit me.

15. Anarchist-Liberal
Utah Phillips once defined an anarchist as "anyone who doesn't need a cop to tell him what to do, because he knows what to do" I think he said he got that quote from Eamon Hennessey at Joe Hill House in Salt Lake City. At any rate considering that I've been doing for longer than I care to admit to, I think I know how.

I'm disappointed; I usually score more libertarian than that.

Good to know I'm still a commie, though.

20. Still -10.00, -10.00 -- Damn!!!..
I expected I'd become more liberal since I first took the test 5 years ago (and sent in a correction about a scoring error to the test makers).
