Poll question: Which sleezeball would you least like to see as the GOP nominee?
Edited on Sun Nov-12-06 09:51 PM by jefferson_dem
Which repuke bastard do you think would cause our side the most problems in the 2008 General Election? All of the prospective nominees suck but these three below might prove the toughest to target.

2. McCain!
He's such a flip flopper - it would be fun seeing his positions ripped to shreds!

3. McCain is the media's golden boy
He'd be very hard to beat. Luckily, most Republicans are under some psychotic delusion that he's almost a socialist, so I doubt he'd gain the nomination. Giuliani has too many skeletons and is too much of a lightweight (I don't care if it was NYC, he was still just a mayor..), and Romney is an empty suit (and a Mormon), so he'd be rather easy to beat.

4. McCain or Powell, because
they both carry an undeserved aura of respectability and trust among the illiterati, and they are therefore dangerous. One of them could win, with the press puffing up a tailwind behind them.

9. I would LOVE too see him run ...
He is so universally despised that the Dem's could run anyone and win.

12. There are few GOP sleezeballs bigger than McCain.
He's stayed below the radar lately by doing what he does best - sitting on the fence and not getting off until the winds have definitely decided upon a direction.

14. that depends on who we nominate..
if Democrats nominate someone like Bredesen or Zell Miller, then Mitt Romney as the Republican wouldn't look so bad, and would cause our side some serious problems!

No doubt there are others, but those are two who would be a real danger to the world; even worse than W if that's possible!
