1. I can't conceal my mirth that Murtha was endorsed by Pelosi.
Murtha's socially conservative, and I don't care for that, but he got a lot of people thinking when he called for an end to the Iraq occupation.

Hoyer doesn't get along with Pelosi, and is way too corporatist for me.

2. OMG! Diebold changed my vote!
I punched in Murtha, and the screen said Hoyer! I tried to change it, but it wouldn't let me. Diebold is fixing another race for the DLC again!

3. I wonder how many here realize how conservative Murtha is
Apart from his admirable stance on the war, he's pretty much a DLC kinda guy. He also needs to Twelve Step his pork addiction.

Peace.

4. CREW labeled Murtha one of the most corrupt in congress
only three dems made that list.

i respect him for his change on the war, but i think we need to resolve this issue before putting him in such a position

5. Too bad
it has to be one of those two. There are any number I'd prefer to see get it over either of them.

6. Aside from Murtha's recent "courage" and outspoken-ness, I do NOT trust Hoyer...
On a gut-level, I scream out "NO" every time he's on the screen. Something not 'trustable' there. Not Dem enough for sure.

8. That's funny
that's how I feel about Murtha. And the corruption issue really turns me off of him.

7. Hoyer worked hard to turn back Bush's attempt to privatize social security. He
has an excellent grasp on a range of issues.

9. The more I think about it, the more I want Dennis Kucinich
Send an unmistakable message to the warmongers, the corporatists, AIPAC, and the rest of the shitheads, that Congress will be about the PEOPLE'S agenda.

11. Stephanie Tubbs-Jones, John Conyers, Dennis Kusinich...
any of those three are fine with me.

I admire Murtha's war stance, but he is far too far to the right on a lot of other issues for me. Hoyer is a K-Street Corporatist shill of a joke.

I think it is telling that our choice is between Rep. Right and Rep. Righter for this position. I think it clearly points the direction in which Pelosi intends to move this Congress on everything but the war. I hope I'm wrong, but that's how it looks to me.
