...as they gave the Republicans?

After their "Contract" the Republicans did absolutely nothing for 11 and 1/2 years. (Except use the 'key to the candy store over and over and use 911 as an excuse to gut the Constitution).

And the people who elected them let them get away with it.

I wonder how much time they will give us if we abandon our principals.

We need to impeach every criminal up the line.

---to instigate same-sex marriage.

---pull out of Iraq.

---bring the military home

---raise taxes and put an end to Bush's tax cuts for the rich.

---attempt very hard to regain respect for America in the world.

---support Progressive Governments all over the world; especially Muslim countries.

---try (it's going to be hard I know) to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil.

---fund stem cell research.

---make the solution to "global warming" a top priority.


etc, ad infinitum.

If we don't do these things how long will we keep the dramatic gains that we have made?

I personally don't think we have even two years.
