Frustrated Conservatives : "Boy, I hope there's another 9/11 NOW!" |
|
Edited on Mon Nov-13-06 06:47 PM by Bicoastal
Well, the New York Post has published yet ANOTHER cartoon showing terrorists celebrating the Democratic victory on Tuesday. That's two in a row in just one week. Meanwhile, conservative bloggers, collumnists, and freepers keep insinuating that the terrorists are going to do something huge and terrible any day now, and it will serve us all right.
First of all, Bush is still president. A few weeks ago, these people were arguing that there hadn't been any major terrorist attacks in America since 2001, and it was all thanks to the GOP and its fearless leader. (Never mind that terrorist attacks occur on a daily basis in an American-occupied Iraq.) NOW they tell us that it had nothing to do with Bush's leadership, since they now claim that terrorist strength has nothing to do with the executive branch. No, it's because people like Santorum, Allen, and DeLay were there to keep us all safe--despite the fact that it really seemed like all they were doing were wasting time bringing up legislature on gay marriage and Terri Schiavo while lining their own pockets.
No matter. Before 11/07, America was perfectly safe because of George Bush. Now, we're all gonna die, in spite of the fact that Bush is still in office--all because of Nancy Pelosi, whose name is most certainly on the lips of every terrorist in the Middle East.
I'm glad no one is listening to these people anymore.

1. Allen conceded for a set up? |
|
Have we been "set up?".
They'll do anything to win, and we all know that.

3. Terrorists want Dems in office |
|
So they share that fact with the world. This makes Americans vote in the Republicans next election. Hmmm....
It boils down to Republicans believing that the American people are dumb as rocks. This is the most ridiculous scheme the R's have cooked up in a while. But after seeing some of them, like Stevens R-Alaska, in action on C-Span2, it's no surprise.

4. Uh, better re-think that. |
|
Bush is still commander in chief--regardless of which party "inspires" another domestic terrorist attack, it will still be result of BUSH BEING UNABLE TO STOP THEM. Why are they so fixated on the idea that terrorists are terrified of Bush anyway? Did I say RE-think? They didn't think about it the first time around.

it boggles my mind that any of us expect them to employ any over-arching logic in their arguments. all that remains is shattered. their only hope is that the democrats will screw up in a big way.
