Vendetta Accomplished - George H. W. Bush, couldn't stand Donald Rumsfeld
Just read this over at allhatnocattle :) Sorry if dup....

http://www.suntimes.com/news/sneed/132783,CST-NWS-sneed12.article

The Rummy report . . .
Sneed is told President Bush's dad, former President George H. W. Bush, couldn't stand Donald Rumsfeld -- but zipped his lip until recently.

• • The reason: The elder Bush believed Rumsfeld was behind a move that once forced him out of veep contention.

• • The irony: Robert Gates, Rummy's nominated replacement, is a very close friend of Bush 41.

Word is Rumsfeld, a successful businessman, is sitting on a $350 million fortune made through savvy investing that includes a ranch in New Mexico and a multi-million dollar mansion on the Chesapeake Bay near his close buddy, Veep Dick Cheney.

..little more at link...

3. My favorite Rummy story: Rummy left a big meeting in 1969
and after he left, someone said 'typical slimy Rumsfeld.'

The person that said it: Richard M. Nixon.

4. "Savvy investing" in political manipulation.
In January 1981 Rumsfeld told a sales meeting, according to one attendee, that he would call in his chips and get aspartame approved by the end of the year. On January 25th, the day the new president took office, the previous FDA commissioner's authority was suspended, and the next month, the commissioner's job went to Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes.

Transition records do not show why the administration chose Hayes, a professor and Defense Department contract researcher. In July Hayes, defying FDA advisors, approved aspartame for dry foods -- his first major decision. In November 1983 the FDA approved aspartame for soft drinks -- Hayes' last decision. More info at this link

Google "rumsfeld aspartame" for much more information.

5. rumsfeld should have been locked up for life
just for the aspartame skullduggery. If God gives 60 minutes in hell for fucking up someone's life and a day for every person you kill, rumsfeld will be down there long enough to be the guy who turns out the lights. Good riddance to the nutcase
