Personally, I'm not that excited about Murtha or Hoyer. I think we need some young blood in the House leadership. Obviously, this is not how things work, but it would be nice.

What about someone like http://www.house.gov/cummings/">Elijah Cummings? I think he would be great too.

4. Tim Ryan would be great, but Elijah Cummings would be great, too.
Cummings keeps things simple .... a Maryland guy for either a Maryland or a Pennsylvania guy ... with a Baltimore-born-and-bred speaker.

Seriously, Cummings would be good. He's a long time member and former head of the CBC, is in a VERY safe seat (he ran upposed this last go-round). Furher, if we have a woman in the Speaker chair, why not a person of color for our number two? Lastly, he's my congressman.

5. I like Tim Ryan
I've seen some of him on the House floor and I like him. I would like him too. I would have to check out more of his voting record though.
