1. Goes to show...DEMOCRATS ARE COMPLETE FAILURES.
Edited on Tue Nov-14-06 03:57 PM by pabsungenis
A whole negative 50 days since we took power and we haven't solved all the world's problems.

:argh:

6. Umm, how about leaders addicted to pork and K Street $$
Murtha in the first case, Hoyer in the second.

Surely we can do better than these two. I admire Murtha for his war stance, but for little else. Hoyer voted for the bankruptcy bill at the bidding of his K Street masters.

That much said, you're right on it about the whole litany of things we're supposed to have fixed in the past week. :-) Guaranteed it will only get more whiny, too.

Peace.

14. An office R actually complained that gas prices weren't falling yet.
That was like Thursday and she was serious. I very condescendingly explained to her that gas prices are controlled by not by the government, but by the oil companies and the FREE market. I asked if she thought the government should set prices, and she said the Democrats got elected because they promised to lower gas prices. Then I had to explain that, a) no I don't believe there was a single Democratic candidate who made that promise, and b) they don't actually take office until January.

For that matter, why haven't the Dems forced Japan to open up and buy more Xbox 360s?

20. The Democrats haven't done a damned thing about aliens
I don't mean the ones from Mexico. I'm talking real aliens. Klingons. The ones from Independance Day. I happen to know for a fact that there is a gi-normous alien fleet hiding on the other side of the moon, waiting for some secret signal to attack. That's the real reason Bush wanted to go back to the moon.

See, the Dems are soft on intergalactic security!

34. I actually read an article today.

Where the columnist wrote that (1) we need more troops in Iraq, (2) Bush probably wants to send more troops, but (3) Democrats control the purse string which is why he hasn't done so.

This ignores (a) Democrats don't control shit until January and (b) the past two years in which we also did not control shit.

So it took exactly one week to spot my first, "Democratic congress is responsible for our losing in Iraq" column. And I bet a lot of idiots ate it right up.
