CT 2 - WE WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This makes 230

"Recounts in each of the district's 65 towns gave Courtney the nod, although his election-night margin of 167 votes narrowed to 91, according to results tabulated by town clerks and reported to The Associated Press. Nearly 250,000 votes were cast."

3. Good for CT. And now let's put Shays in the Democratic crosshairs
for a 2008 election defeat. 5/6 House Seats now belong to big blue, and Shays is the only red that remains. Does CT really want a token Republican or is it time to invest heavily in his challenger, starting now!

8. Question re Connecticut delegation
"5/6 House Seats now belong to big blue...."

Isn't it 4/5? The two newly elected Dems join returning incumbents John Larson and Rosa DeLauro. Am I missing someone?

4. Yay!
I have family members in CT-2, registered Repubs. They were backing Simmons, not just because of the "R", but because, "He saved our sub base". Don't live there, but I suspect the sub base issue is the reason it was so close. Oh, and one of these family members of mine backed Lieberman, too. :puke:
