BOBBY
There is a movie coming out Friday about the last day in the life of RFK. In my opinion, Bobby Kennedy was the single most inspiring public figure of recent times. Where JFK was a patrician who cared about all the people, Bobby was "Of the people." He is dearly missed to this day as a constant reminder of "What could have been." As I have become familiar with Wes Clark the past few years, I am finally inspired for the new possibilities for America that his presidency would bring. Not since Bobby Kennedy......

Please, General Clark, if you read these blogs, know that there are dedicated people out here who desperately want you to run for president and will work their hearts out for you. Your support has immense depth, enough to overcome all obstacles. We also know that it is asking a lot of you to undertake such a campaign. We only ask you because, no one else CAN provide the leadership for America's future.

Ken

1. I am reduced to tears just watching the trailer for Bobby...
I was so young when he was assasinated, but I DO remember... I think now, especially, is a good time for this movie to come out. The people are craving real, honorable leadership--competent leadership.

And, yes... General Clark might just step in to fill that bill. I admire him a great deal.

3. While JFK's assassination was a tragedy, I think Bobby's had a more lasting
negative effect on this country. As a college Junior when he was killed, I just beginning to be politically active, and looked up to Bobby Kennedy as my hero. So much hope and anticipation for the future died with Bobby Kennedy.

4. I agree with you, and that's why
I posted the comment about Wes Clark. He inspires as Bobby did, and has the character, integrity, smarts, and leadership ability for a new awakening of America.
