No, really. Hear me out...I think he's just incredibly, incredibly ignorant. He probably actually thought that the CCC was just a regular group of conservative citizens.

Nah, probably not. Although I find it curious that when Lott made his Dixiecrat statement, nobody really cared. That is, until Lott tried to apologize by introducing some affirmative action measures, and then he had to go.

The GOP didn't take him out of leadership for his stupid remark...they removed him because he supported affirmative action.
