3. She doesn't think it's necessary |
|
She probably believes her name recognition is high enough that she can arm-twist enough endorsements behind closed doors (prior to her announcement), and won't actually have to visit IA/NH until after her "exploratory committee" is formed.

6. I think she wanted to concentrate on her reelection campaign |
|
I think she wanted to give the appearance that she was concerned about her reelection, because it wouldn't have looked too good if she had spent time campaigning in Iowa and NH as opposed to her own state (yes, she was easily reelected, and she did take some trips elsewhere, but I think she wanted to make it clear that she was focusing on New Yorkers, and not a future presidential bid.)It's not like she needs the name recognition anyway - but I'm sure she'll spend plenty of time in both places after she announces she's running.

7. Busy running for Senate in New York, Maybe.... |
|
understanding that the mediahounds would be hot on her trail if she even set foot in one of those early primary states. Kinda of like the helicopters hovering over that Goodfella! :)

11. I LOVE that sequence - |
|
it is so well edited together, the pacing is fantastic, and the soundtrack choices... marvelous piece of cinema.

8. She reckons she has the primaries in the bag, and is moving to center |
|
already in preparation for the general, thereby figuring she has a jump on everyone else.
This may be her undoing if the more liberal folks who tend to vote in primaries don't vote for her.

...he's just named Bill.
Hillary had the Iowa delegation to her home in DC a while back. And Bill gave the J.J. speech in Iowa last month. Bill has also traveled to all of the early primary states for her.

13. I'm still trying to figure out how she spent that 36 million.... |
|
Did she invite the entire population of Iowa to New York for a week-end in order to keep the reporters at bay?
