Let's talk about Pork for a moment, shall we....
A lot of high falutin' organizations are calling Murtha a corupt congress criter mainly because he is successfull in bringing money back to his district...

They have compared him to the likes of that Stevens Fella up there in Alaska who was behind that now infamous multi million dollar bridge to now where...

Well, if those organizations would have taken the time to listen to what Murtha was talkin' about on those ABSCAM tapes, you would get a really good idea of where his heart and mind actually lies...

He was talkin' about how his district was one of the most impoverished districts in the country with unemployment up in the 20% range... How the Reagan recessions of the early 1980's had broken the backs of the people who turned to him for help...

He didn't take any money, I suspect the only reason he said he would want to consider takin' money was too not scare a potential big investor and bringer of jobs to his district...

Murtha is old school... He believes he was sent to Congress for two reasons, to make sure the Armed Services got all they needed and deserved and to bring as much of the govenment back to his district as possible...

All that other stuff, the fights over who can marry whom and when it was okay for a woman to have an abortion was for the other guys to argue about... Janck Murtha, well all he really cares about is what his people are most concerned about; how to make it through another day without falling further behind...

So yea, he is a little boorish... He is a little gruf... He doesn't wear his suits as well as Charlie Schumer or Russ Fiengold or John Edwards or Hillary Clinton...

But he fights every day for the working men and women of his district...

They need him... He knows that... and he tries to do the best by his people...

That's why I support Jack Murtha...

4. Sounds like "Whitewater"
of course, nothing at all like the massive corruption in the Bush administration that they keep pretending doesn't exist. Their act is stale.

3. Pot meet kettle
Is the news media making a big deal of this?

Do they think the public is so ignorant we won't recognize the hypocrisy of the GOP and their media lap dogs?
