2. That aren't boring and because California
is not a guarantee if they are not progressive enough. Definitely not a reliably blue state if its a red state stay the course, keep your powder dry affectation that's presented. Splitting the ticket is getting to be rather interesting here so be very careful what you ask for...

3. Agreed. Schweitzer, Clark and Sebelius are pretty progressive and not boring
from what I can tell. Will they run, who knows. Or maybe there are other good candidates I know nothing about. I keep hoping.

24. Can I get a sweet job if you win?
I was thinking like Official ambassador to the playboy mansion or some other such post. Something with very little responsiblity and lots of down time.

11. Wes Clark
A Progressive Plato Quoting schomsky readin' Rhode Scholar Soros Friendly Red State stomping Southern General who has shown prescience time and time again. Someone whose brokered lasting peace, and planned, led and won a war without a soldier dying. A man had head of state duties for three years and who communicated with the heads of states of 37 other countries. A guy who has lived in England, Belgium and South America and speaks 4 languages. An expert in Emergency preparedness to boot! someone respected all over the world. Who came from an imporverished single mother background and realized the American Dream all the while serving his country with Duty and Honor.

He can rebuild a motor (cause he had to), talk about science without notes or consultation, and

He's lined up a team to combat Swiftboating early and the man is ready to go. With his intellect and strength, things would only get better. :headbang:

12. I like Al Gore most but probably not running-- Edwards, Clark, Obama our best
I wish Al Gore would run-- nobody could better revitalize our party and our country. But I think Al's serious when he says he doesn't want to do it. Among other choices-- Hillary Clinton is downright toxic. Barack Obama doesn't yet have much experience but then, neither did Dwight D. Eisenhower, and he was an excellent President. So, Obama is worth considering. Clark and especially Edwards may be our strongest horses.

I don't for a minute believe that Edwards would be too "soft"-- he's a populist and he's a cheery Southerner (which wins votes), but I've seen him on the ground and he's very tough-minded. With Mark Warner having dropped out of the running, I suspect that John Edwards may be our strongest horse, with Wesley Clark also way up there. Edwards-Clark, Edwards-Obama, something like that would be very tough.

13. I used to like Gore but he turned me off playing fast and loose with payroll taxes
I'm kinda touchy about things that might endanger Social Security. Except for non-candidate Gore, Clark (my favorite) is the front runner here.

I think Obama would be a great president. Sometimes that 'lack of experience' stuff is just bull crap being spread by people who want to hold younger folks down. They said the same thing of Kennedy. But it's hard to ignore the bigot vote. Maybe Clark as POTUS and Obama as VP?
