1. So we haven't lost a single seat?
Why were the Senate races decided so much faster?

4. Senate had 33 seats for grabs, House had 435...

but still, yea, what the heck? this drags on too long these because they have to "format and verify" votes at the SOS's office. damned electronic voting supposed to make it quicker and easier :eyes:

and you're right, the repub's did not gain a single seat from us, because GA12 was their only chance to if they ever had one.

3. Very encouraging
I couldn't get the link in your post to work. Here's a functioning one:

As you can see by the map, this district includes Athens (U. of Ga.), Statesboro (Ga. Southern U.), Augusta, and Savannah.

5. that is incorrect. Athens is not in Dist. 12 this year
and it's Barrow's hometown! why else would the race be so tight!?

no fault on your part, it's just that they redrew the districts last year.

8. Oops - but glad to see there's no recount
I'm not really familiar with that district, just found the map. Some other districts in GA got redistricted this year also, as I'm sure you know. For example, the boundary between 4th and 5th moved.

Anyway, I'm glad to see Burns isn't seeking a recount in the 12th:
