9. go dems
I prefer any one of the 6 right after her, but when the only 2 on the repub list I "like" are Giuliani and Hagel, I feel good about the Dems chances, whoever the person to run is - but don't be surprised someone named Hillary doesn't even run - I still contend she has to see her negatives (polls) and question whether a run is worth the headache when the obvious might be telling her no go.

8. Obama takes away Gore's support.
That's what I found interesting. Before Obama was being polled, it was Gore who usually ended up a little ahead of Edwards. Yet, once Obama is added, Gore slips quite steeply to fourth place. This is probably the support he gets from people who are ardently looking for someone who opposed the war from the beginning.

The dynamics are going to change repeatedly in the coming months... plus, national polls hardly matter in the primaries, which function on the domino theory. It is the polling in each individual state, especially the early ones, that makes the difference...

10. That's real close to my preditions
The only thing I had Vilsack in the top five.
I don't even discuss the other field, they are going to be all McCain, I suspected there's a deal that was made back in 2000 to put him in the 08 nomination.

half of those people on that poll won't even be running so you don't know where there support will end up at.

18. Is this another of those "Who's name do you reconize?" polls?
Fun, I guess, but essentially meaningless. It's a long road.

24. And Gallup also said...
Name the most ridiculous thing you can think of and that group will go out and make results to back it up for you.

Provided that:

1. You pay them; or

2. It suits their agenda.

bonus percentage points if 1 and 2 coincide.

22. Nothing very new. Hillary and Obama first tier thanks to the media buzz.
A second tier between 5 and 10 with people with name recognition. The rest have simply no name recognition at this point.

Let's wait until people really declare. Feingold is in this poll and does not run, for example.

23. Hillary is reminding me more and more of Lieberman
Remember when Lieberman led in all those polls before the summer of 2003?

Hillary is stuck at 30%. When people start focusing on the election and the party rallies behind the non-Hillary, you will see that she is toast come primary season.
