"Nancy Pelosi doenst have control of her Democrats?"-Chris Jansing
"A big blow to Nancy Pelosi" - Monica Crowley

So, they have managed to damage Jack Murtha, and now they will also get to damage Nancy Pelosi. Predictable. Heads I win, tails you lose.

We have to stop worrying about what they will say. Because they will always find a way to go after us. Just as they will always give the Republicans the benefit of the doubt.

3. Fuck em.. The MSM are idiots
They're still smarting from their gigantic GOP loss, and it shows.

Let's see what they say when the new Abramoff revelations start coming down.

4. No No No
She knew Murtha, her personal friend, was neither the Dem fave nor the procedural candidate. She let Murtha know she supported him but could not threaten (aka Republican style) the selection.

5. The bright-side is that America seems to not be buying their crap anymore
Exhibit A- election results.

That whole Kerry insulted the troops thing was another bullshit spin blunder. They have zero credibility now and it's so transparent.

That's what we've had in Congress for the past twelve years.

Isn't it about time that a party is in power which respects a diversity of opinions instead of ideological purity, especially one that starts preemptive war, lies to the public, puts Congress up for auction to the highest bidder, and generally rubber stamps the utterly failed policies of a monolithic ideologue, George W. Bush.

8. Exactly
When they were discussing all this before the election, they were talking about Pelosi twisting arms and applying undue pressure. Again, heads I win, tails you lose.

I hope Pelosi is not use Tom Delay tactics, and that differences are actually debated, that the results are not always foregone conclusions before the voting even starts.

9. There were a lot of Congress members that did not want him

for more reasons than the Smear Job I think.

I liked the way it was handled.

Quick and fast and now it's done and we can move on.

10. Murtha was flawed and while it gives fodder to the Media Whores to keep
at her...it would seem she gave an old friend a chance to run and threw a bone to those of us on the left who want us out of Iraq ASAP a chance to be recognized. I doubt her relationship with Hoyer is ruined by this or that she's split the party. MSNBC and CNN are still trying to spin that Dems are a "lock step party" like the Repugs. They think they can play this old "weak Dems...trying to herd cats" and folks will fall for it.

Bush has 31% popularity and the Media might think about what their popularity will be if they keep this crap up and don't recognize their viewing audience for what it is. Bush is Not Liked and neither are those who keep going on about him and trashing Dems.

11. No way folks....
Hasn't anyone considered the possibility that Pelosi KNEW how the vote was going to go? Her endorsement of Murtha allowed her to demonstrate her loyalty, while at the same time, allowed her to be relieved of the "baggage" that Murtha appears to bring to the position.

C'mon...You're not giving Nancy enough credit for knowing how to practice politics with the best of them.

12. Is it too early to talk of removal from office?
Because clearly the Democrats don't have any idea of how to govern, at least not in the gangland style the media whores have come to know so well from the last 12 years of Republican hegemony. Discussion, debate, and non-unanimous caucus votes confuse and addle our poor media commentators, and they don't know how to offer analysis and insight that isn't spoon-fed to them by party blast fax.

Won't someone think of these poor babes in the political woods, suddenly bereft of party overlords telling them what to think and what to say?

14. What the fuck?
I think she knew Murtha wouldn't win but supported him because she has integrity. It's not like nobody voted for Murtha for crying out loud!

I'm so tired of all these fucking idiots trying to discredit Pelosi already. Whether it's calling her a grandma or saying she can't control her Democrats it's bullshit.
