What does Dean have to do to get more credit? |
|
Just finished the new issue of the New Republic (yes, I know, throw the sighs out there) and I don't think I read a positive thing about Dean one time in the entire issue.
In one article by John Judis he postulates the Dems need to be able to run every where in the US to remain in the majority. Now, from what I remember in the primaries in 2004 are things like Dean saying this same exact thing - remember the debate where he caught some hell for saying the Dems need to speak to all voters, including those with Confederate flags in their trucks?
When is this man going to get the credit he deserves? He created the map that showed the Democrats where their damn spine could be found, too.

strategists and obscenely high-paid consultants will never said a kind word about Dr. Dean.

5. He is a visionary and he has been consistently right. |
|
People never want to give credit to visionaries because they don't color in the lines and kiss the right asses and repeat all of the correct talking points. He has always been way ahead of everyone else (as we consistently are) but to the average idiot that equates to being a "smartypants elitist" and so they fight him.

The news media is just trying to stir up trouble to divide Dems. Ignore them.

9. Does everyone remember what people thought of Clinton in '92? |
|
What I mean is, remember back then what it was like when the Dems were fielding candidates to take on Bush I? I recall because of Bush I's 90 plus approval rating that many "real" Dem candidates stayed out of the race to allow this group to be the sacrificial lambs. Then Clinton wins and Dean is somewhat, but not quite, being treated like those candidates were. Sort of ignored for their initial skills, bravado and what they did and accomplished.

10. Not kind of be in the right place at the right time. Bush really screwed up. |
|
THAT'S that primary reason we won.
But I think Dean's doing a great job. He's perfect for the job and I like the way he speaks on the chat shows.

12. He Needs His Supporters To Shut Up |
|
That would do it for me.
I worked the election, no one said the were voting because of Dean.
What they said, was they were sick of Bush.
So if the Dems do something, he will get credit.
But for now, his supporters are all whiners and need to shut up.

19. He needs the COVERUP wing of the Dem party to shut up and sit down and let the |
|
anti-corruption, open government Democrats lead the party.
The coverup wing is targeting every anti-corruption Dem who is in their way - now it's Dean's turn to be attacked.

13. Have Dems take back the House . . . and the Senate, too! |
|
"What? Oh. Uhm, well . . . he yelled once! Just shut up."
Seriously, if the guy walked on water, the talking point would be that Howard Dean doesn't know how to swim. There's a lot of credit to be handed out for the surprising and smashing Democratic victory on November 7. Dean gets a good share, as do Emanuel and Schumer. But all of their efforts would have been just so much meaningless motion without the hard work of thousands of campaign professionals, and millions of volunteers. Everyone worked with a will for the election of Democrats, and the hard work paid off for a change.
Just because we kicked pachyderm ass doesn't magically transform the nit-pickers and media whores into our friends. They're smarting from their losses, and their pampered lives of privilege just got a little harder, and they have to say something to please their bosses and justify their ridiculously inflated paychecks. Ignore the pampered class pundits.

because his awareness & vocalizing the republican owned electronic voting machines...Yes, we need to have PAPER BALLOTS!
Not to mention Dean's insightful 50 state strategy, while the republicans still stole many elections & votes - with manipulation, more coming out each day...And Carville wants to blame that on Dean?
Never once have I ever heard Carville even mention the easily hackable voting machines.

17. Spend more DNC money on high priced Democratic strategists |
|
Doesn't matter if their effective or not--if their getting DNC dough they'll praise him to the skies.
Since Dean has not been passing out money to the usual goto guys & gals he's the biggest loser in the world in their opinion.
Hell, they might even decide that the 50 State Strategy was the greatest thing to happen to the Party ever if they got their cut.
Of course there might not be much money left to actually DO the 50 State strategy but it will nevertheless be praised to the skies by the Democratic Party brain trust.
I am only partially joking with this post.

At the national level, the strategists appear to be part of our problem, not part of the solution. Kudos to Dean, who is a mile ahead of them.
