"Permanent Contact" for your local Dem organization.
OK, now that all the shouting is over with, many small, local Democratic clubs/organizations tend to fade away until the next election cycle. As some pundit said, "The repubs play politics 24-7, the Dems show up on game day".

It's time for that to change.

We'd like to have a permanent office, but don't have the money.
Next best thing is a permanent phone number.
At least folks new to the area can look you up.

For about $25 a month (here in south Alabama, anyway) we can get an RCF phone line with a yellow pages listing. That, we CAN afford.
In fact, we got 12 members to sign up for one month's fee, annually, each.
I'll set it up for monthly auto-pay on my credit card and they'll pay me.
Simple, easy, and CHEAP.

There's no physical phone. You just call into the voicemail for the phone # and access the messages.
During the last election cycle, so many people said "I've tried to find a local Democratic headquarters and there's nothing listed."

Oh yeah, our yellow page number will be listed under "Political Organizations" and we'll be the only one listed in that section, so far.
I recommend you list youselves as "Democrats, blank-blank".
We are "Democrats, South Baldwin" (county)
Worth a try.

And don't stop now.
Keep on keepin' on.
:-)
