6. No. People are suffering because of him.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. And the Nobel Committee should be ashamed.

9. That is a little extreme isn't it??
He had his theories and others had different theories. That does not necessarily make him evil or bad rubbish as you stated.

To hate someone just because they have different ideas than you is wrong. That is why we have periodic elections. If we do not like someone who is in office we can vote them out.

I do not think this man was ever elected to anything so why all of the hatred.

12. I don't bother to hate cockroaches.
There is nothing, nothing so ineradicable as a bad idea. He gave the rich a license to steal, like the churches that told the rich that the proof they were going to heaven is that God made them rich.

His ideas, his dreadful ideas, for which he accepted honors and awards, have caused untold suffering. He never got his hands dirty with the actual execution? That makes him a good person? He was probably charming, adorable, kind to his cat. But he poisoned a generation. Maybe more.

You go honor him as you think he deserves. I look at what he did.

13. Oh yea, and George Bush & Co. just have a few different ideas
Those ideas - like the ones that MF (that could stand for Milton Friedman - use your imagination) have lead to the deaths of a lot of people. Friedman didn't just have a few bad ideas, he actively promoted his Market based crap and so was instrumental in making it thebasis for Reaganomics (also known as vulturenomics). Those ideas have hurt a lot of people!

10. Friedman was intelletually consistent ...
His free market notions were, IMO, valid is some ways, wildly wrong in others. But the same intellectual process that ruled his economic theories, ruled his other theories as well. He was consistent.

I am always saddened by the passing of anyone.

RIP, you old fart.

14. know how he proposed to his wife?
something along the lines of it being an enterprising merger of two entities. I doubt he was trying to be funny or charming, either. Old turd
