Bush Appoints Anti-Choice, Anti-Contraceptive Chief of Family Planning
Bush choice for family-planning post criticized

Eric Keroack held post at Christian pregnancy-counseling center

By Christopher Lee
Updated: 5:44 a.m. ET Nov 17, 2006

WASHINGTON - The Bush administration has appointed a new chief of family-planning programs at the Department of Health and Human Services who worked at a Christian pregnancy-counseling organization that regards the distribution of contraceptives as "demeaning to women."

Eric Keroack, medical director for A Woman's Concern, a nonprofit group based in Dorchester, Mass., will become deputy assistant secretary for population affairs in the next two weeks, department spokeswoman Christina Pearson said yesterday.

Bush continues to take any and every opportunity to shove his oppressive agenda down the throats of the American people. This is unconscionable!

6. K&R. You have to wonder--why are they still pandering to the wingnut
base, now that the mod-terms are over? I guess they're hoping to hand the xtian conservatives over to McCain in '08. Either that, or Bush is intentionally fucking up every government program/function he can get his hands on, because, you know, government is BAd.

7. Chimpy is so wrapped up in his own little world
Laura had fertility problems, so he doesn't understand that other women seem to get pregnant just looking at a man, and they need reliable contraception. I want my next president to have a broad world view. In fact, I demand it!

8. Can't be any worse than the last guy who was Bush's Director for FDA's Women's Health
I forget the guy's name but he was a gynocologist who woudn't prescribe birth control, gave women scriptures as 'prescriptions' and who's wife divorced him because of his deviant sex practices

12. Back in September, 2005, he tried to appoint a veterinarian
as the acting head of the Office of Women's Health at the FDA.

9. Contraceptives are "demeaning" to women?!?
Someone with this opinion has absolutely no business as director of family planning programs at the DHHS. This is outrageous.

11. Figures
Come on January. I don't like knocking anybodies daughters, but my best guess is that the Bush twins not only have access to birth control, but the very best of health care. AND choice.
So he appoints an insane ass who will be overseeing policy for poor women.

Another EXCELLENT place to mention how much I loathe bush and his administration.

Thank you, ismnotwasm. I was at a loss for words.
I hope these creeps know the proper protocol in January when a Dem enters the Whitehouse, and remember to turn in their resignations. Otherwise, someone's gonna have to flush everyone of these theofacist fools out one by one.
