Geez, what is it with repukes and when a sucessful democratic woman does well in politics that make these people go ape-shit.

Somewhere Hillary Clinton is probably secretly thanking Nancy Pelosi for the break that she (Hillary) is getting with these assholes.

3. Stephanie Miller was playing a clip of Morton Kondracke calling Pelosi
"The Wicked Witch of the West" on her show this morning - no sexism there.:eyes:

And isn't Kondracke supposed to the the designated "moderate" conservative? :eyes: :eyes:

4. Just goes to show how some people are afraid of ambitious, intelligent women
like Hillary and Nancy, and that includes a ton of folks on this forum.

6. They spent the past several months screaming...
hair on fire warnings about how we'll all be heading for Hell in a handbasket if Nancy Pelosi became the Speaker of the House, so now they have to try and back it up with something.

7. No, they can walk and chew gum at the same time
They are attacking Nancy Pelosi because she's the Dem Speaker and she's in the news right now. If the most Conservative, whitest, most heterosexual Democratic Congressman had been voted Speaker instead, they'd be smearing him as a flaming liberal bent on destroying America - - or even they couldn't get away with that, they'd be claiming he was a drug addict or pedophile or the most crooked pol who ever lived.

They don't need to bash Hillary 24/7 because she keeps sliding in the 2008 Presidential polls. But if she does or says something that puts her in the news again, they'll returned to their regularly scheduled hate-fest.

9. No doubt
It's extremely creepy. They focus on successful Democratic women with a stalker-like intensity and focus. It's bullshit, but very sick as well.

11. Hillary's been getting the break from corpmedia for some time now. When that book
against her came out in 2005, almost ALL the talking heads denounced it, even many of the FOX crowd, and wouldn't give it much discussion. This after months of pushing blatant lies from the Swifts in their book.

Why?

12. Do you mean Democratic Socialist of America, NAMBLA - consorting,
illegal laborer loving wine maven Nancy? :sarcasm:

That seems to be the message I have been getting lately. Where in the world have they got that meme constructed? It is too ridiculous to be tolerated.

DSA is a perfectly respectable Democratic Socialist "lite" group and not a party, and I don't even know if Nancy is a member. The references to NAMBLA are disgusting. NAMBLA, if it actually exists beyond paper and theory at all, ought to be called the "Would you help me find my lost puppy here in the park" lunatic fringe. I have no idea as to the status of her vineyard workers, and frankly find it hard to believe she keeps peons in Contra Costa County.

Let's see her real faults: liberal, from San Francisco/Ballmer, muy poderosa, and could probably take on Rush, Kristol and all the Bushes single handedly.

13. They are trying to make her so by constantly pretending that she is.
It's that whole "manufactured consent" thing they do, where they pretend something already is known, and everyone knows it, and you are coming in on the tail end of the discussion. The whole mentality of advertising has changed. It used to be that advertisers tried to give consumers details (whether true, false, or misleading was irrelevant) to make consumers feel they were educated on the product and could make up their own minds. That was back when it was a virtue to think for yourself.

The current advertising method is to make consumers believe that everyone else already accepts something, because thinking is no longer a virture. Following the herd is. Watch beer and alcohol commercials, where everyone in town is dancing to the same song, or entire bars are full of people drinking the same beer. They don't try to convince you that the beer is good, only that everyone else is drinking it.

The death of the individual. Same thing on Pelosi. The Repub PR department (ie, the media) is trying to make everyone "know" that she is a shrill liberal like Hillary Clinton--maybe worse. Soon the emails will hit, and everyone will "know" something without knowing a single fact to back it up. That's how they define their opponents.

Neither is supporting the impeachment of Bush.
