All the Dems have to do is start putting legislation in front of Bush. Legislation that will benefit the working poor and middle class of this country. Legislation that, if vetoed, will put the Republican Party even further in a hole with the American voter. Either way...vetoed or passed, the Dems win.
When the investigations start regarding war profiteering, energy policy, and domestic spying, that will just hasten the demise. The house of cards will fall. The Repubs are so screwed.

hard headed. He will probably veto the minimum wage bill because "it will take jobs away from the American people". While he walks around South east Asia promoting a free trade agreement with all nations over there, promoting moving more American jobs over there.

2. Exactly - Dems shouldn't put up namby pamby shit he WILL sign ... |
|
... they should put up a middle-class friendly series of legislation that will at least start to overturn all the damage the cabal has done since the Contract on America, and dare the Chimpster to veto every single piece of it.
Then the people - poor, frustrated, underinsured and overworked - will finally understand what Bush and the GOP's version of "Compassionate Conservatism" really is ... a big fuck you to everyone who's not them.

good stuff, stuff that people really want. A veto will help us in '08 and he must realize that but it won't help them either. They are cooked. I doubt that enough R's will vote to override and we must take note of who is running in '08. If they are smart they will vote for things but they aren't.

GOp will try to lard every proposal with billionaires' tax cuts, huge pork provisions, abortion bans, and every other sort of right-wing hare-brained idea.
