WASHINGTON (CNN) -- About 57,000 U.S. troops will be sent to Iraq in early 2007 to maintain the current force levels there, Pentagon officials said Friday.

The Pentagon said the routine plan calls for 47,000 active-duty troops, plus 10,000 reserves, to rotate into Iraq early next year.

News? Normal rotation, which probably includes troops on their third tour! All this of course is part of the idiotic "stay the course" policy, with the media trying its best spin to help out!
