So here's my take on the Dean BS with Carville... |
|
The DNC never wanted an *outsider* like Dean, but had no choice but to throw him a bone after his impressive 2004 showing. Couldn't risk alienating all those new voters who love Dean, many of them quite young and will be voting for many years.
Now that two years have passed they want him out regardless of results 'cause he can't be controlled like an insider can. So Carville talks some trash to get Dean (a hot blooded guy) to flip out and quit in a huff.
But Dean's not taking the bait.
Does it sound plausible?

3. Maybe all the DLCers, but in private. Carville's not |
|
doing this all on his own, I'm sure.

I googled for a couple of hours tonight and saw how the claim that others are involved spread from one person to another, but never saw a single name or instance of anybody but Carville doing or saying anything.
I think the right wing is running a scam on us to divide the party. I don't like the DLC either but I'd prefer they'd be attacked for their backing of the military industrial complex and not for some story that has no evidence behind it at all. Just because the DLC is bad doesn't mean everything bad that is said about them must be true.

5. Right, Carville does the Dem's wet work. He's a known loudmouth. |
|
So he pops off and no one's surprised but the target get's the message.
But in this case he played it cool and didn't take the bait.

7. Oh for god sake, I posted this as a theory--"my take" on things |
|
And your're asking me for evidence of a theory?

8. Its plausible in the sense it could have happened |
|
But not in the sense that it actually did. Sorry if I misunderstood you. The last post sounded more like an accusation than a theory to me.
I'm hitting as many of these threads as I can because I believe we are being hoaxed by the right wing to start a big fight in the party.

11. Right right, I'm just tossing out a theory 'cause the whole Carville thing is so weird |
|
Trying to make sense of it. And I was saying about Carville that he's a known loud mouth, so he may have been the one designated to do the dirty work ("wet work" being a metaphor) of popping off to the media.
So we're being hoaxed, maybe? Do they wanna spoil our hard earned celebration? So like 'em.

12. I don't know about "wet work", but... |
|
I do know he and his consulting firm Greenberg Carville Shrum (GCS) was hired by the oligarchy in Venezuela to help oust Chavez, was hired by the oligarchy in Bolivia to keep Evo Morales from getting elected, has done work in Mexico, Israel, South Africa, etc etc etc...everywhere the corporatist neo-cons needed a hand, Carville was there.

People taste power and can't tolerate sharing it. They become so entrenched in it. I love Howard - because he knows the government belongs to the people. He's been about reminding us - and the entrenched - of that.

9. No, cause that's not how it happened. |

Dean was elected by the State committees..447 members and they did want him. Dean was getting more than bones. http://nanovirus.blogspot.com/2005/02/governor-dean-elected-dnc-chair.htmlhttp://www.talkleft.com/story/2005/02/02/207/77709http://www.blogfordemocracy.org/archives/2005/02/support_dean_th.htmlAnd here's my favorite quote from some anonymous repukes... "Many Republican leaders have said they look forward to Dean leading the DNC. Many describe him as an angry, northern liberal -- a symbol of what many argue is "wrong" with the Democratic Party."http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/02/12/dean.dems/
