Poll question: Have you ever been able to get on the air on C-SPAN???
The reason I ask is that I've never even been able to get anyone to answer the phone when I call in. Either I get a busy signal OR the phone rings and rings and rings -- and then cuts off. Not ONCE has anyone answered the phone. Yet people call in and say "Hi, Peter/Brian/Susan, I haven't called in for a couple of months but. . ." and some people get caught calling in more than once a month. How come they can get through and I can't???

1. OK, you people who've gotten on C-SPAN more than once, are you

paid political operatives? Do you know a secret number? Which line do you call on? (Dem, Ind, Rep)? What's your secret?

The secret is understanding that C-SPAM
...during this maladministration is a publically-funded shill for the RepubliCONS. The "moderators" let the moron Freeptards ramble on with the usual stupidity for what seems like 10 times the amount of time that Democrats get. When a caller on the Democratic line makes a salient point, the jerkoff answering the phone usually says a curt, "thank you," and moves to the Freeptard line. Also, they have guests on like noted liar, er, lawyer Hugh Hewitt who added nothing this past week except his usual bullshit.

4. True, but sometimes they play fair and let a Dem or Ind talk for

a reasonable amount of time.

Hewitt really is a bullshit artist. I never heard of the guy before and kept wondering why people named Hewitt would name their son Hugh. "Hugh Hewitt" sounds like a bird call.

9. I got through a couple of times over 2 years ago.
But, I haven't been able to get through for over 2 years. And I usually try a couple of times a week. I have to quit when my redial button overheats.

2. I have been on several times (more than 5) but after my third
call when I called the repug (don't remember who) a liar on air because he was spewing some kind of Democratic representatives were "working with the terrorists" I suddenly couldn't get through for about eight months. Don't know if that was the reason I couldn't get through but my tin foil hat was pretty shiny during that time.

At the time the host of C-Span said something to the effect there are many angry Democrats out there who don't like to be called terrorist enablers. The guest then started to back track a bit and said he never said the Democrats were helping the terrorists but then went back and again repeated exactly what he had originally said adding that we would be less safe under Democratic leaders because the terrorist know the Dems would be soft.

Typical repug shill, state inane BS, be called on it, deny saying then repeats it all over again. All I can figure out is that repugs are "morans" and can't understand the concept of words, statements, flawed logic, plain old BS and video tape.

After a long period I finally got through again. It probably didn't have a thing to do with my calling a repug stupid but it was awfully suspicious there for awhile.

6. More than 20 times in 25 years
I just think their phone system is about as fair as I've seen. Just alot of dialing and
timing and sometimes it rings and rings and then switches off. I've gotten on during Washington
Journal, their 25year anniversary during discussion about Clinton Presidency and on book tv in depth.

5. It used to be a lot easier.
The show is much more popular in my estimation. I haven't been on in quite a long time, a couple of years ago it seemed like you could get in to them at will. You do have to call early!

7. I've been tempted many times, but do not wish to pay the toll charges from DC.
Now, had they a 1-800 number...
Brian might be hearing what a Nahville/Huntsville accents sounds like!

8. That's a good point...
Nowadays everyone has toll free cell phones and cable modem phones. They don't have to pay. It used to be that you had to pay to play!
