Democrats should never let the people forget how the "conservatives" created so much debt
Edited on Sun Nov-19-06 12:56 PM by kentuck
Four trillion dollars in just 6 years! It's mindboggling to think of it. These "conservatives", who brag about fiscal discipline, ran us further into debt than all the other governments combined from George Washington thru Bill Clinton! It's unbelievable and Democrats should never let them off the hook for this.

Yes, they will be back with their "tax-cutting" agenda and lying once more about "fiscal discipline" and a return to their "principles". But will anyone really trust them? Only fools and koolaid drinkers. But then, maybe we will have finished the "war on terror" and we can start a new "war on stupidity"?

2. 25% of Americans are fools and koolaid drinkers. The rest can learn and do appreciate facts.
It's them we can, and did, reach. You're right. Never let them forget.

4. For the upper 1% income bracket that works out to $3,322,259.00
...per household. I think the American people should get it back.

5. It would be useful to use the GOP's "cut and run" catchphrase against them.
In fact, it can be used as a response every time one of them uses it. Take over their own phrase and turn it back on them: "Cut and run? It's the Republicans who want to cut and run -- 'cut' the taxes for the wealthy and 'run' up a huge deficit!"

It'll only work if it's hammered home every time one of them says Democrats want to "cut and run". It will neutralize the power of one of their memes and they'll stop using it. And then we can keep using "cut and run" until people understand it to mean only what we want it to mean. It'll be a lot like taking a gun away from someone who's been shooting at you and shooting back at him with it, or beating a cripple (in this case the Republican party) with its own cane. Sure, that may be a little cruel. Oh, well, it's what the voters truly respect...
