Koppel just completed a documentary for his new gig at Discovery Channel on Iran.

Apart from the usual platitudinous yammerings of two teevee heavyweights trying to pretend they like each other was this little gem .......

Fat Timmy suggested to Koppel that the Iranian 'man on the street' was in favor of nuclear weaponry to give them street creds on the international stage. Koppel was remarkably fast to disabuse Fat Timmy The War Cheerleader of this notion, saying the Iranian man on the street wants nuclear **power** but not bombs. They see, according to Koppel, nuclear power as the way of the future for the day when the oil runs out.

Timmy sorta sputtered out and dropped the meme after that.
