Condi: US Concerned With Chinese Military Buildup

<snip>

“There are concerns about China’s military buildup,” Rice told a television interviewer. “It’s sometimes seemed outsized for China’s regional role.”

So should we add China to the list of countries that are doing something militarily that we don't approve of, but apparently can do little to stop?

2. So the answer is we should scare the public into spending more on the military
500 billion a year is not enough. :sarcasm:

3. They spend a small fraction, 1/10 that we do.
Yet they have 7x the population. If they spent, per capita, what we do...they be doing a $3.5TT military budget.

Condi, we have concerns here about our military build-up....and I think most of the world perceives us as the threat, not China.

5. What a revelation!
The United States under the Bush Administration's "leadership" :eyes: has done nothing but support China, even at the expense of American business, American jobs, and the American economy.

Bush has borrowed money from China like a whore with a new box of condoms, and now all of a sudden they're concerned about China.

A worse President would be impossible to find. George Bush is the WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER. That is his legacy.

6. Condi should be informed that we are indebted to China for the next 50 years.

since the tax cuts did not pay for the war in Iraq, China footed the bills...so far.

8. what is Condi hinting at?
Do we need to add them to the Axis of Evil?
Do we need to send a few thousand soldiers into a country of a billions?
Do we need to take on a military that could squash us in less than a week?
Do we need to start a war of words with the country that owns most of our debt and could bankrupt us if they called in their chips?

What is it Condi?
What do you want to do?
Why did you open your pie-hole?

Thanks for the random threatening assertion, but shouldn't you go sit in georgie's lap and be a good little secretary?

10. agreed
is this what the bush administration calls diplomacy? publicly calling out another country, and perhaps embarrassing it on the world stage?
