Political acumen as exemplified by Dem party's most 'brilliant' political minds.
It takes political acumen to adopt a lie promoted by BushInc to attack the fellow Dem being lied about, and then trust that honest journalists and the netroots wouldn't notice that you did it.

It takes political acumen to launch an attack on the Dem party leader who just helped win elections because he worked for two years to rebuild the party infrastructure that your team had left collapsed since 1996.

Political acumen brought the party the targetted state strategy post 1994, and then kept it in place for the next 10 years.

It took political acumen to urge Dem nominee to support states' anti-gay ballot measures.

It took political acumen to discourage filibuster of Alito - to claim that you never heard of Downing Street Memos - and to work for 6 years to rehabilitate the legacy of the Bush family.

5. Political acumen would be for the DemocratIC party to pass an TRANSPARENT
ELECTION PROCESS. NO MORE BBV. Paper ballots and random audits FIRST.

7. My Hope is That Carville's Comments About Dean
are becoming the equivalent of McCain's "agents of evil" comment about Robertson and Falwell. Whatever the general public thinks, it destroys support with the base.

Personally, I think that even if Carville is right that Dems could have sone a few more races by borrowing $6M, it's beside the point. What is just as important is WHERE Dean's strategy wpn. It is a reversal and the start of a trend rather than defending a shrinking number of seats with more and more dollars.
