Barbara Bush will speak at Salem event
November 21, 2006

(snip)

Barbara Bush is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser for the MedAssist program of Marion and Polk counties. MedAssist provides prescription drugs to low-income, uninsured people at no cost.

(snip)

Larsen said tickets for Bush's speech, which include dinner, will go on sale Dec. 4. There will be 800 seats available at $125 each, he said.

People willing to become sponsors of the event, and contribute more, will be invited to a private mixer with Bush.

(snip)

The medical society's foundation is paying a fee for Bush's time, although Larsen said a contract for the appearance prohibited him from disclosing the amount.

4. My first thought was
protesting the fact that the republicons *are* the ones responsible for
the mess we are in regarding health care and drug costs and the
poor being shoved aside. Medi*care* Part D, my butt.

Everything else - psycho son, illegal war for oil, water, sand etc is
secondary and not relevant to the old hag's mission.

3. They have to pay her?
She's so rich, but can't do a charitable event for free?

Unbelievable!

5. Incredible, isn't she?
Truly amazing old hag. How much money is enough for
any republicon?

This ties in with something else I read within the past
couple of weeks. Just too pat. Odd they won't say where
she will be staying.

The thought of that witch being here makes me want
to insure that I am out of town that day.

6. For people like her, it's not so much about the $$$
but rather the money that they will pay her is "a measure of her worth" (ego). Many men command far more dollars than she...it's the same egoistic principle for all. *sigh*

9. Ah, I think you've
nailed it.

Yes....big sigh.

And yet there is no amount of money that will make her feel any better about herself. She needs to force herself to take a trip to Introspective Hell
and check out the good, bad and ugly parts that make her what she is.

G'night all. Have a safe Thanksgiving.
