Once again, we enter a holiday season and travel will spike. Lots of families heading to grandma's house to celebrate. Many of those trips will be by plane.

And with plane travel comes the ongoing harrassment of We The People.

We now have the wonderful priveledge of bringing 'small amounts' of gels and liquids with us. No more than 3 oz per said gel or said liquid, of course. 3.2 oz? Sorry Bud, dump that in here. And all these precious fluids have to be packed in a 1 qt clear zip lock bag. No bag? Sorry Bud, dump that in here. A pint or gallon bag? Sorry Bud, dump that in here.

I know many people see this as a way to 'keep us safe'.

Bullshit.

This is a massive, ongoing, Public Service Announcement From Hell.

By subjecting us to this shit in the name of 'security' and 'for your safety' the government of the Neocons puts the notion of dark skinned evil doers out to 'get you' smack in your face. And in so doing, they demonstrate that only the government can keep you safe. They also condition us to be orderly, cowardly, good at blindly following instructions.

And as you stand in line, who among us doesn't visually scan the crowd of fellow travellers, racially profiling each one of them? And the more fearful - or hateful - among us have no problem demanding that anyone 'different' is whisked from line to be searched and 'interviewed' by our Great Protectors. How soon until we all have to submit to body cavity searches?
