I am sure many of you get flak from RWnuts regarding the Democratic Party's vote on HJ RES 114 (To Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq).

They harp on and on about how the Dems voted "for the war".
Here is how I rebutt that bullshit.

They get confused as to what HJ RES 114 was.
They also conveniently ignore the impassioned warnings many Dems gave, that voted for it. Warnings NOT to rush to war.

The key fact they do not know (because they are caught up in their RW talking points) is that the total Congressional Dems (House and Senate), that voted against the Resolution, outnumbered the Dems who voted for it.

Total Democratic Party vote tally for combined House and Senate:
YEAs-110
NAYs-147



Dems who voted against:
21 in the Senate
126 in the House

Repubs who voted against:
1 in the Senate
6 in the House
