CNN headline: Out of control

Out of control

Attacks, counter attacks in Iraq

* Residents say a U.S. copter fired in Sadr City after Shiite militiamen attacked, AP reports
* Militiamen doused six Sunnis with kerosene and burned them alive, AP reports
* Shiite cleric al-Sadr's bloc threatens to quit government if Iraq PM meets with Bush

I get the feeling the U.S. is training some of the very people who are fighting them. They train the Iraqi troops, who then go AWOL, weapons go missing and there is no end in sight!

Chaos

1. Media has to stop calling it a "civil war". It isn't. It's anarchy.
Nobody's in charge.

2. Where the hell is Bush?
Not that I really want to see him, but shouldn't he be on TV right now talking about this? Or is he still the only person on Earth who doesn't think Iraq is in a civil war/anarchy?

5. remember his words from two years ago:
if the Iraqis want us to leave, we will leave immediately, not a minute later.

4. Interesting about al Sadr and his threat to withdraw. It's his
'stronghold' that saw the biggest mass murder attack since the beginning of this so-called war.

This smells of Negroponte to me. But then, I can easily imagine ANYTHING coming from this bunch after El Salvador, Guatamala, and Iran/Contra.
