writing a book seems to be the pattern with members of the bush mis-administration when they have "former" added to their title...

your thoughts: Will rummy write a book? Will it be a "don't blame me" book? or a "If I Did it" book? Flavorful kool-aid type or one loaded with sour apples?

Keep in mind - Rummy's dismissal has been reported as not being nicely done, and he's being replaced by one of Poppy's pals, and all of this just after he's been told he was doing a "fantastic job". How far will his willingness to serve and drink the kool-aid go?

Maybe Dubya will read that one, thinking it's a 9-11 sequel.

2. Rumsfeld is the first a-lister to go out under a cloud.

For that matter, I can only think of one b-list Bushie to walk out with his head hung low: Andrew Card. I expect to see a lot of hype and damn little substance from any book Rumsfeld puts out. He's a made man; he won't fuck with the establishment and the establishment won't fuck with him. No kiss-and-tell. There might be a few juicy-but-pointless insider gossip type details to help boost the sales ("What I told Cheney on Oct 17th in the Green room was he's full of shit; but really, Dick is my friend and a consumate professional"). But don'texpect mea culpas and don't expect surprises.
