Idea to solve all ME conflicts: Bush becomes the anti-Gandhi
Hear me out. Okay, Gandhi, through non-violent means, made the British leave India. Soon there was civil conflict between the Muslim and Hindu people. To stop the violence Gandhi went on a hunger strike. Because everyone loved him they did indeed call a truce.

In Iraq there is no leader who everyone loves. However there are leaders here in America that many hate. If Bush and Cheney could go on a hunger strike to STOP the violence in Iraq I believe Iraqis, at least temporarily, would have the incentive to lay down their arms. (If violence breaks out they could eat something.)

I think its time for Bush and Cheney to sacrifice for what they have created. It's worth a try, especially after January when the next Congress is sworn in.

Think I should write the White House with my suggestion?

1. Sort of "A Modest Proposal" for the 21st century?

2. That's an idea whose time may have come!
It would be interesting to see what would happen if it were tried.

3. Problem: the word "Bush" and "sacrifice" in the same sentence
Won't fly. But nice idea.
