3. It's that time of the year, isn't it? LOL
Post election campaign withdrawal syndrome. Not that I disagree with you, of course, but, ah, this thread is a little short on specifics so far. Then again it has about as much substance as any one of those poll threads that puts up a proposed ticket and says: "Discuss".

4. After reading the thread title I though, "There is now".
Let the cannibalism begin. I'm not hungry, though.

7. I got a whiff of that vibe
on another thread, and it's only going to get vile around here pretty soon.

Having said that, Clark's the cat's meow :)

9. That's nice dear, but I prefer a bit more substance in my rah rah threads
A few facts, a speech or two, an explanation at least.

11. I gotcha...
I was really just trying to see where people were at around here. I don't like to start threads that get flamed. I guess I just like to know that there is a movement out there to get this guy in...rather than another senator. The only senators that ever had a chance at the presidency were both named Kennedy, and sadly enough they were both shot and killed. Since then, no senator has had a chance

12. Fear not. You are not alone. Many Clarkies here. Just jump right in.
You won't necessarily get flamed for starting a Clark thread, but you will get some flak, as there are also many anti-war folks here, and he's not quite an "out now" guy.

I should say though that the closer we get to the primaries, things will get ... grumpy ... around here. Be prepared.

14. Interesting.
Well, you can see "where people are at around here" by scrolling through the boards and reading the threads.

If you joined in January, I'm sure it hasn't escaped your notice: Yes, General Clark has many supporters here.

I disagree that "the only senators that ever had a chance at the presidency were both named Kennedy."

Belated welcome to DU! :hi:

21. I actually signed up in January of 2004...
but I lost my password after not going on for a while. So I changed my username and so on and so forth. As for going through all the threads, I'm not patient enough.

27. The "search" function is a very good tool.
It allows you to search all active threads (you can't do "advanced search" because you're not a donor). Just put "Clark" in for keyword, and you can search all of the big forums at once by clicking on "Big Forums (Conference).

There are lots of us Clarkies on here, but there are a few people who really don't like Clark as well.

It's true that people do tend to appreciate threads with a little more substance to them. With Clark, it should not be difficult to find substantive things to post.

I am not anxious to see the candidate wars get going around here again. They were absolutely brutal last time around. :scared:

Anyway, welcome to DU. :hi:

The problem is, how can you tell when a recommendation is done tongue-in-cheek?

Starring the evil Pile-ons, a fleet in search of a mythical planet called Earth jumping through more hoops than you can shake a helm stick at...

25. News: Wes was on TV today
Edited on Sun Nov-26-06 08:23 PM by Donna Zen
The subject was NATO and Afghanistan. Curiously, the interviewer stayed away from Iraq. Sometimes he slaps them down, and other times calm reigns. I enjoyed the clip because it was one of those Professor Clark moments.

Clark 11/26

From the background, Clark is now in Little Rock. Although there is a news report that says he will be in the Gulf region 12/5-8 to speak at a conference on regional security.

That's my Clark news for the day.
