Today's talking point in the media is, apparantly, Democratic infighting ...... |
|
... and the chattering class is having great fun with it .... over and over and fucking over .....
Why did we not hear the same shit when Tom Delay and Newt Gingrich went through a far more rancorous fight for Speaker? Gingrich and Delay don't like each other and, more importantly, don't trust each other. But did we hear about that? Did we hear about Delay's bad haircut or Newt's Sewts? No.
We can talk all we want about all kinds of issues, but the MEDIA has **got** to be on our reform agenda. An honest media would serve EVERY other one of our issues quite well.

the Pelosi/Harman situation was described on MSNBC this morning as a "cat fight". If it were two men (as you've pointed out), would not be a big deal. Instead of examining the reasons why Pelosi would want someone other than Harman, the media is basing their reporting on the women's personal feelings for each other. Makes me sick.

There are reasons Harmam could/should stay/ There are reasons she should/could go. But we have NO idea (if we only hear it in the media) what those reasons might be.
That slimy fucking fast talker, Joe Washington, some Republican 'strategist', was all over this story today on MSNBC. It was about some fucking 'tea party (literally, he mentioned som supposed tea party) that pelosi threw for Harman in her election fundriasing efforsts ome years ago ....... blah blah fucking blah ......

3. Last friday on Hardball |
|
some pimp for Bush contended that the Democrats had blown their chance to fix every problem in the world because they spent a week sorting out their own hierarchy. I did not catch the guy's name but he was a "former advisor" to Bush. With idiots like this, no wonder Bush has so many problems.

5. They're so used to the GOPs marching in lockstep |

and jerking their knees in unison that they don't quite know what to do with Democrats.
They just don't get the fact that disagreeing with each other is not only permitted, it's encouraged. They just don't get the fact that Democrats who disagree with each other can still come together in mutual respect and work together.
Thanks for reminding me why I walked away from the "news" on November 3, 2004. I certainly haven't missed those blow dried fools and liars.
