memories of right after the 04 election, when people were saying the democratic party was dead |
|
make me laugh.
seriously... usually the people saying the democratic party was dead were marginally involved people, who maybe knocked on a door once or twice or made a phone call or two, but were suddenly going to bring together their awesome skills at political organizing and form a new party that within four years was not only going to completely replace the Democratic Party but also gain a supermajority in Congress, all the while not considering the thousands of elected Dems across the country, the hundreds of thousands of real activists, and the millions of dollars we consistently raise.
yep... dead I'm sure. I wonder what Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi would have to say about that.

1. Democrats always bounce back. Always have. Always will. |

Democrats have sometimes suffered terrible electoral defeats, but they always bounce back. Just think, we'll be able to say that we were Democrats before being a Democrat was cool.
