16. how the hell do you know that? |

Harman is a very Conservative Democrat and probably wouldn't mesh well with House leadership. Hastings probably got set up. There's no real evidence he was guilty (in fact he got acquited). Voters in his district obviously thought he was innocent enough to elect him to Congress. I just really resent condemning people on hearsay evidence (the same thing happened to Murtha). Its the MSM that tout these ideas, proded I'm sure by Republican spin. Hastings , and even Harman shouldn't be condemned to suckhood by the likes of us, the MSM, or anyone else.

19. Though Hastings was acquited... |
|
apparently Pelosi, Conyers, Rangel, Murtha and many others thought that there was some real evidence as they all voted to impeach him (in a 413-3 House vote), where he was then removed from office in the Senate. It wasn't the MSM that did this to him, it was a Democratic controlled House and Senate.

4. Hey, fast fingers...you beat me by a couple of minutes posting. |
|
I was trying to remember and type who that leaves in the running (Reyes? Holt?) .
Back on topic - I hope Pelosi smoothed things over with the Black Caucus. I'm sure she did.

sounds like an excellent candidate. Thanks, kept trying to remember who impressed me (before turkey days) as a candidate and Holt is the One. Like to hear more about him.

14. Being discussed on Blitzer just now |
|
Hastings wrote that he was disappointed but ready to work with the chair. Black Caucus is pissed at how his name was dragged through the mud.
Pelosi will make the decision soon on the chairmanship.

The Dems have finally learned not to shoot themselves in the foot, as they have done so often in the past.
Good going, Nancy. Onward and upward!
