That`s one putrid pool you`re standing in, Mr. George W. Bush
Rove couldn`t invent another Hero Costume grand enough to draw attention away from the absolute mess George Bush is standing in. I look at that putrid pool lapping around Bush`s armpits and winch at the little pieces of our shredded Constitution, the body parts from his war of choice, the bundles of taxpayer`s cash ready to be swept out to no-bid contractors, the few extra inches from the melting polar ice caps, zillions of pink slips readied for American workers, debris from Hurricane Katrina, bone fragments from Ground Zero, Cheney`s Iraqi oilfield maps, miles of bugging equipment, the dossiers on Quakers and Veterans for Peace, Abu Gharib electrodes, waterboards, homeless children, Saddam`s pistol and a number of other things too sullied to recognize.

Standing on the high ground, safe, dry and well fed is Bush`s herd of political appointments: his fundraisers, old family friends, PNACers, partners in crime and a variety of enablers who helped prop this man up throughout his sorry life. Don`t worry. They`re all okay. They don`t work in danger zones. It wouldn`t be good for their image. Imagine showing up at a posh Beltway restaurant with blood under the nails or vests in tatters?

Ever think you`ve endured "the last straw" then suddenly felt the weight of yet another one? That happened to me today after watching George Bush grip the podium in Estonia and fill the air with more asinine babble: Iraq is all al-Qaeda`s fault and we`re staying in Iraq until our victory is complete. Apparently Bush has replaced "adapt to win" with "stay the course." Makes me feel like my head is a ball in a ping-pong match. Boing, boing, boing. Stay the course. No, we`re not staying the course. Stay the course. Let`s hope Bush informed Tony Snow so he can pass the word around like a tray of petit fours.

Is this some kind of sick game? Which chickenhawk gets to decide how many more soldiers can be killed or maimed before we claim complete victory? Is there a formula for this? A flip chart? Could a focus group help? A Zogby poll? Will a soldier lose his legs or life a year from now? Two years? Is a real death for a fake win worth it?

1. GREAT RANT!!!
"Is a real death for a fake win worth it?"

That is one GREAT line, and really sums up this entire fiasco.

:kick: AND RECOMMENDED!

2. What if George W was required to don combat gear...
and go spend a month serving as a 'grunt' in IRAQ, no special treatment, no security detail, no Laura... Alas, while George wouldn't be missed--he has vacations of similar length, such would leave Count Drakul Dick serving in his place--and that might be even worse for the country... Nevertheless, I suspect he'd come back (if he survived) with what we might call "an attitude adjustment"; one that was too long in coming. Oh well, enough imagining... we're stuck with him as is.

6. UHC....
Thanks so posting this photo. I was thinking about it yesterday and had no idea how to find it. Computer skills are about a 2 on a 1 to 10.

I`d give anything to see Bush on a plane like this headed to Iraq. No babysitters, no speech writers, no room service, no armed guards, no teleprompter. Just Bush facing the horror he created.

4. There's nothing left to win in Iraq.
Every death is wasted at the alter of maintaining Bush's denial of reality.

7. But 'am a war president. A war president. A war president..
I'm a war president!

War sucks! War is the shittiest thing that can happen on planet earth.

I just finished watching a show on what UN peacekeepers see when they go into the regions of Rhuwanda, or Cosovo.

What a great post you have written. It sums up my sentiments pretty darned well.

I hope those who supported this war have a horrible afterlife.

There are real people really suffering. And these turds are living in a fairyland where they can't see or feel the pain and suffereing they've inflicted.

God damn them all to hell!

I'm frightened by what I've seen. There is great fear at the end of a gun. It is to be avoided and prevented. Always.

I want an Anti-war President.
