What a total doofus, Biden is.

On Senator Barack Obama's possible presidential run, Biden said: "I'll be a little surprised if he actually does run." Obama, Biden says, is on "everyone's number two list."

1. I agree with Biden for once...Obama is too green....He has accomplished nothing
He will be a great president in 2012 or 2016. It is too soon for him.

For Vice President? You bet.

2. Biden is horrible because of who he is and what he's done
Obama is horrible because he hasn't done anything.

3. Obama is "horrible" because he hasn't done anything, so you say? Please...

Tough standard there, my friend.

I will not quarrel with your characterization of Biden's horribleness.

12. Obama opposed the war in Iraq, while Hillary and Biden were for it
Now, who is horrible?

4. Wishful thinking on Biden's part. Obama likely to run. Bobby Kennedy was ony 43 when he ran.
It would make the race a whole hell of a lot more interesting, and I'm all for that.

7. You aren't on anyone's list, Joe. Save the one-liners for Sunday mornings.
You're at the peak of your career.

8. Someone needs to ask themselves some serious stuff...
about why is he getting so much favorable media stuff. Think about it. They are gushing.

They can bring him down just as fast.

11. Perhaps Biden would like to be thought of as potential
Edited on Tue Nov-28-06 09:04 PM by Pithy Cherub
VP as well. The whole president thing requires a passionate constituency which Obama has. Biden is still in search of one. Green is not Biden's best look!

13. Curious... has anyone replying to this thread ever met Biden face-to-face?
I have. (One of the perks of living in the frozen tundra known as Iowa.) I will say this, regardless of Biden's track record, he was the *only* presidential hopeful thus far which made me want to stand up and cheer.

In particular:

"The winds of Katrina blew away any illusion that this administration was competent -- not if they were good or bad, too liberal or too conservative, ideological or not -- simply that they are not competent."

That was Sen. Biden speaking in Cedar Rapids back in August. Here's the video clip:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKlLjBQuwKY

(BTW, the man Biden was stumping for is Dave Loebsack. Back in August, everyone had pretty much written off Dave's campaign as a lost cause. Come January, he'll be replacing Republican Jim Leach in the U.S. House.)

The man is hardly a 'doofus'

14. I've met him. Not impressed.
And while I'm the forgiving sort and think people can redeem themselves, he still has not climbed out of the hole he dug for himself when he let Clarence Thomas be confirmed.

He loves to hear himself talk - unfortunately, the rest of us have to listen to him as well.
