1. Most of the "owners of all them big stores".....
are RepubliCONS who are trying to maximize their profits by not alienating a single person. They don't want to take a chance that anyone will get out of the door before they've picked their wallets clean. If the Reich-Wing are looking for the perpetrators of the "war on christmas" they need do nothing but look into a mirror.

8. Exactly
You want to blame something. Blame capitalism. Profit is the only thing that drives what they will or won't say to shoppers.

2. This is fresh..
... from last year. They whine and whine and whine that everybody isn't falling over themselves to respect Christianity. Maybe if they looked in the mirror once in a while, they'd understand why many folks want nothing to do with it, nor wish to have it shoved in their faces 24/7 for 2 months of the year.

7. Odd that Target's TV ads say "Merry Christmas."
And Wal-Mart's TV ads don't.

Furthermore, both Macy's and the Gap share the same tagline this year at the end of their ads: Peace, Love, and ."

Looks like the right-wingers aren't celebrating the season this year, but the liberal retail chains are. Go figure.

9. Pffft
The store where I work doesn't make us say anything specific regarding the holidays. So I don't say anything. Not Happy Holidays, not Merry Xmas, nothing. I am so over the Holiday shopping season, I see no reason to acknowledge it.
