1. well ,it didn`t work out for firestone did it?
that`s one japanese company i`ll never buy a tire from.i never buy goodyears cause they are not worth the cost and i sure wouldn`t buy from them now...bf goodrich/michelin for me.

2. Try Khumo. Near the top for safety and the bottom for price.
Not in any way associated. Just recalling a consumer group study I saw a while back.
