The fallout continues for the Republican Party...
The Democrats took away their "smoking room". Does this mean Rep Boner will begin to hand out checks from the cigarette industry on the floor once again?

And the Democrats have taken away their "Bible Study" room? Where will they now meet with the Ted Haggarts and the James Dobsons that come to visit? Will they all go into the closet to pray?

And we find out that Speaker Pelosi plans on taking the suite of offices that the Republicans have enjoyed for the last 50 years. In the past, the Democrats have given up the offices as a show of bi-partisan cooperation. These were the offices that had the best view of the mall from the Capitol. Denny Hastert is now moving out and Pelosi is moving in. No more "bi-partisanship", I guess?

7. There is a chronic shortage of space there
And most people are not allowed into the House or Senate chambers, making all other rooms nearby even more valuable.

If more meeting space is made available that all people can use, not just smokers, then more actual work can get done.

Isn't that more important than reserving valuable space just for smokers?

5. Bipartisanship?
Bleh. It is a keyword that only means "what the Republicans want".
Good on Pelosi.
Shake the whole goddamned town upside town. It's about time we had someone who didn't cower to those bastards.

place down in the boiler room where Democrats were forced to hold their hearings because the "ruling party" declared that there was no room in the inn.

Our people were forced to make do with less, and forced to eat whatever crumbs fell from the table. Why can't they? A little mortification is good for the soul. After all, it's only a "smoking room." Or maybe they should just step outside for a smoke like all the other considerate smokers do, routinely.

16. Let the fallout begin, Kentuck.
It's a lovely thing.

I love your line about Republicans will now have to go into the closet to pray. Imagine that! They will have to follow Jesus's teachings for a change. Nancy is making them practice what he preached.
