We're not in the general election yet. Right now, the candidates are courting the party loyalists and activists.
Once the primary is over, I'm sure the winner will redirect their resources to the general electorate, but until then, we're the people they want to reach.

|
There is no sign indicating 'Edwards Country' there ...
I do love the man, but, in case your havent noticed, not everyone does ....
Not that that matters alot ... some cannot be pleased, and so it isnt worth trying ....

Seeing as their is a lot of us here at DU.
Not a bad waste of money by the Edwards camp. If I were a campaign, I'd venture to do the same.

6. It's financially supporting the base |
|
They buy up an entire group of blog-ads, and a whole bunch of liberal blogs and forums get financial support. It shows he's connected to the netroots and sticks his face in front of people for a reasonable amount, which is at least part of a good advertising campaign.

I got called into the hospital to work and am just getting some down time. All is quiet here. I guess I'll start up some co-worker chatter about dynamic Democrats.

12. He wants to be the Grassroots candidate, and so, I don't blame him |
|
one bit. Primaries are won by winning over the base. In terms of election strategy, Edwards ain't no dummy. He announced in New Orleans and so it goes.
